In the footsteps of Giovanni Segantini
The world-famous painter Giovanni Segantini lived with his family in Savognin from 1886 to 1894. Many of his works were created in Savognin. He was enthusiastic about the light conditions in the Surses, the rural life and the mountain world. In Savognin, Giovanni Segantini improved his painting technique and was inspired to create some of his biggest works.
