The monkey Rafiki tells the young lioness Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, the story of Mufasa's extraordinary rise to become king of the country. Rafiki is supported by Timon and Pumbaa, who contribute to the story with their unmistakable humour.
He tells her about the orphaned young Mufasa, who is traveling alone and meets the likeable lion and heir to the throne Taka in his younger years. This fateful encounter changes Mufasa's life in every way. Especially when both are pursued by a dangerous enemy and their cohesion is put to the test.
