Exhibition "Family Life after 1800"

The exhibition "veta da famiglia siva digl 1800" tells of the great challenges that families in Surses had to deal with in the 19th century. Children played a crucial role by helping with work and providing a kind of "social insurance" for their parents. You can also learn more about emigrant families and "Swabian children" - children from Surses who were sent as workers to other places in Switzerland or to Germany to earn money for their families.
