Until the end of the Middle Ages, the Septimer Pass was considered one of the most important Alpine crossings. It was only with the expansion of the Lower Road over the Splügen/San Bernardino Pass in 1473 that the crossing lost its importance. Finally, when the Obere Strasse was expanded from the 19th century onwards, the Julier was given preference over the Septimer, which means that the Setmunt has retained its originality to this day.
We walk from Bivio to Casaccia, where we visit the former hospice (1518) and the stately Casa Gadina (16th-18th century).

Hike (difficulty T2), pure hiking time approx. 4 hours.
Everyone is responsible for food, appropriate equipment, safety and the way back.
The hike is only carried out in good weather.
